Who Are We?

~We are a group of engineers who want to explore the engineering behind the technology that will put us into the future. Our hope is to show you how various engineering techniques can be applied to create new kinds of technology. Now to meet the team!

David DeMeo:

Hello! I am from Connecticut and am in my second semester at Michigan State University. I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and will be minoring in Energy. I enjoy the outdoors including fishing and camping. When I can, I use my advanced SCUBA certification in the oceans when I vacation with my parents and sister. Sports have always been a part of my life and I am currently on the Michigan State Rugby team. I have always excelled in math and science which has led to toward the engineering field.

Joao Martins:
Hello everybody! I am 19 years old and I was born in Campinas, Brazil, but I currently live in Toledo, Ohio along with my family. I am majoring in Electrical engineering at Michigan State University. I have always found electronics fascinating. My hobbies include playing guitar, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. My favorite place to visit is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I love going to the beach there, and a great part of my family lives there too.

Weiyu Li:
Hello everyone, I am a 19-year old boy from China. I am a freshman whose major is mechanical engineering.  I got attracted by the gears in auto-pencils when I was young. Then, I found that I had superior interest in the fantastic outlooking and lost myself in the sound of the working mechanical parts. From then on, I decided to learn about this. I am also a energetic boy. I love to go to the fitness club and play basketball. I learned a little about guitar because an interesting cartoon movie. The movie series SAW is also a reason to let me fall in love with mechanical engineering.

Alex Vu:
I am currently a freshman at Michigan State University trying to major in mechanical engineering.  I aspire to be a kind of engineer that helps put our world into the future.  A little bit about me is that I like to play the violin and play soccer. Ever since I was a kid, I loved to play with various lego sets. I believed that helped me how to understand how things were made and how each piece has a specific reason to the build. Certain shows for example, “How it’s made” helped me gain more interest in understanding how one big project is just millions of moving parts.
